I know hair goes through different phases, when you have shorter hair that falls from your head, is this an indication of male pattern baldness? I have pretty long hair, but sometimes when I shake my head or run my hands through my hair, I get hair that comes out that is shorter than the overall look and length of my hair. I pulled out one of the long strands from the top of my head and it was significantly longer and thicker than the hair I pulled out from the side of my head above my ear. The longer hair hair had a black shaft at the root, and the other hair I pulled out had a white bulb at the root. Is the white bulb an indication that the hair is out of the growing phase? Any help would be appreciated. I will update this thread with pictures later when I get home.
