Hi,

I've gone through 2 seperate rounds of chemo for testicular cancer, and have noticed an odd occurence. When my hair grows back, it seems to grow back intially thicker than it was in the first place. But a few months later it thins like crazy, even worse than before. right now my hairline is literally getting visibly worse daily, and i have thinning further back on the scalp where i never used to...its almost like it advanced my male pattern baldness a couple years ahead. I wonder if the chemo has damaged my follcles? i'm also wondering if because all the hairs are on the same growth cycle, than the shedding happens now all at once? i'm kind of hoping there will be a resurgence as another growth cycle comes in, but i'm having my doubts...any theories/suggestions? I'm not considering finasteride right now, because my system is messed up as it is, and minoxidil gave me major sides(see post in minoxidil section) thx...

Kemo severly disrupts your immune system so that's probably why it regrows hair.
