I have a question about the hair cycles, that I have never found a clear answer to.
During the catagen phase, the hair follicle shrinks. And a club is formed.
When I pull my hair out, there is almost always a white bulb which I assume is the club. Is it normal for all hair on the head to be miniaturizing? No matter where I pull a hair from, the hair is always very noticeably thinner as it reaches the club. More hair just seems to come out from the balding regions though.
Thus, my final question is: During the 2-3 week catagen phase, does the hair continue growing and shrink?
