Every day I come to check this site, and every day there are 3 or more "I'm scared of growing boobies" or "my balls hurt when i put them in a vice! Is this propeciaROFTLOL!". If you are so scared to take something, then DON'T take it by all means... but you forget human nature. It's FAR easier to complain about something than it is to compliment it. And 99% of the people that post here with problems only amount to a mere fraction of the people that take said drugs...without problems. I am on 2.5mg propecia and enough saw palmetto to chemically castrate an elephant DAILY, and I have only noticed a mild INCREASE in sex drive. This has been going on for 9 months. Sure I'm not seeing DRAMATIC results, but without exploration, you will never see change. You will MOST LIKELY not get b**ch tits... your c*** will MOST LIKELY still work... and you will MOST LIKELY not turn in to a woman.

But NOTHING will happen good or bad if you don't try it first.

Now stop being pussies and just TRY it before condemning it... Or you can lose your hair. Your choice.

Some people can't handle the thought of possible side affects no matter how small the %. They become freaked out and paranoid even thinking about it. Some people are better off going bald than growing a pair.

with the amount of sh*t you take on a daily basis sting, you will definitely have effects. If you think f*****g with your hormones for an extended period of time won't hurt.....you are wrong. You are probably already experiencing side effects...you just aren't noticing them.

Good luck and I hope you have no serious side effects when you get older.....just to save a few measly hairs

The thing though, stabber, is how would you know? Everyone is different, and you can't tell me how I will turn out as much as you can speculate how YOU will turn out. If it causes me future problems, then I will rebound and work another angle. If people were always deathly afraid of future consequences when they tried something potentially dangerous... then we would be writing to this forum with a quill under candle light...

But this is just my take on things. You are entitiled to your opinion no matter how wrong it is

I am with Sting on this. Life changes, the strong adapt.

Or, you can just lose your hair. That is an option too!

It definitely sounds to me like the Stabber Medical Institute has done clinical studies that have proven the FDA is lying about the effects of Finsasteride. Can we see the quantitative study data that backs up your claim above?

People have taken this drug at 5 times higher dosage daily for decades in its Fincar form. If there were real problems with it, it would not be prescribed. There are lots of things we take every day that screw with our hormones, Stabber. A good night at the bar, a good workout at the gym, exposure to sunlight... all things that affect our hormonal balance every day. Our bodies adapt to these changes very readily.

Since most people take such small dosages of finasteride, i doubt it could ever cause any fatal side-effects no matter how long you took it. Its just not a strong enough drug to do any major harm.

Yes of course, the next case of finasteride fatalities are JUST AROUND THE CORNER!

Whats the point? Seriously? Every few days like Stingray said, someone else comes on here scared shitless because a few people post negative things about Propecia. What else can you do besides sounding like a sales rep for MERK?

Screw it! Thanks Stingray, I am done posting positive things about finasteride unless I am directly trying to help myself with a post. Key phrase, HELP MYSELF

Paranoid people can all go bald. Be scared because you didn't do legit research and only read a few things on a message board. I wish I could see some of your faces in a few years when you realize your mistake from listening to a few people b**ch about Propecia on a message board and realize how bad you screwed up. Enjoy waxing your head. :boid:

Gerard, people have been taking Proscar, which is the same chemical (finasteride) that is in Propecia, for 20 years as a treatment for enlarged Prostate. Proscar is a tablet of 5mg of finasteride.

Propecia, the drug that many here take to treat male pattern baldness, is made of 1mg of finasteride.

If people have been taking 5mg a day for 20 years in confidence and safety, then what grounds do you have to make a claim that taking 1mg of finasteride a day for 10 years could potentially have fatal side effects?

Gerard, lots of people read this board who are trying to get accurate information to help them treat their hairloss. There is no harm in expressing an opinion, but please mind what you say because you may be stirring up irrational panic based on nothing but 'your opinion' which may or may not have any basis in reality.

Propecia fatal? That's just fear-mongering mate. Anything can happen when you play around with your body's hormones, but we I don't think we can cross the line into pure speculation here.

I am concerned about some of these reports of permanent sexual problems from Propecia though. And I've heard reports of Propecia causing massive sheds and the hair doesn't grow back. Hairlosshelp is swarming with guys claiming that Propecia ate their hairlines and thinned out their hair. Maybe I need to "grow a pair," but I have to admit, these things scare a guy like me who's trying to make a decision about whether or not to take Propecia.

Cheers.

Guys, there is nothing we are gonna do to change these peoples minds, I almost think they want to believe propecia is bad for you, like stinger says they just dont have the balls to try it- This is an oxymoron on there part though because the stuff is proven to be very safe an effective.

Our only hope is that people will read the positive statements from Bruce, Axon, Stinger and Gardner and make the right choice.

Me, well I have been using for 14 days with no problems what so ever, I am an average guy nothing special. My hair recently stopped shedding and I feel great, I cant believe it. This is by far the best and easiest to use. The only thing I dont like is that I have to spend $60 a month for it, but its worth it to keep my hair.

Stupid is as stupid does don't listen to the negative fools on this site.

People don't want to believe that Propecia is bad for them. People come here to find out IF Propecia is bad for them. What's so wrong with that?

It's more like people are afraid Propecia is bad for them and they want to be convinced that it's not. People come here looking for a justification to take the drug.

Cheers.
