Greek Sub Shop Owners?

I have been noticing a lot lately that all of the Greek sub shops I go in seem to have quite a few Greek employees who are in the later stages of male pattern baldness. They seem to be from the mid thirties on up and other than the typical vertex and frontal recession their hair is unusually thick. Has anyone else noticed this correlation?? I know they are greek because they all have jet black hair and speak Greek.

Also they have the worst come overs I have ever seen-

In my experience mediteranean and middle-eastern people tend to have much thicker hair(s) than northern people. Unfortunately they are equally affected by male pattern baldness and a bald spot looks especially bad on otherwise thick and very dark hair.

So they go from really good looking hair to really bad looking hair!

Again, this is just from my own experience.

Redbone, if you can't speak Greek, how do you know they are Greek and in fact are speaking Greek?

Though Greece is a Meditteranean country, the people vary in looks and shades from the swarthy olive complexions of the islanders to the tall and blonde alpines of northern Greece. I know many Greeks and people of Greek extraction and the majority of them have either dark blonde, light brown or chestnut brown coloured hair.

I think it is a bit of a stereotype to suggest Greeks or any other race has 1 set of characteristics of another. Just about the only thing you can count on is that Chinese people have straight black hair ;)

Thylax:

a sub shop is like those "Subway" franchises which sells those submarine roll sandwiches.

I think Redbone means "comb over". That's when male pattern baldness men grow some of their hair longer to cover some of their bald scalp.

Stereotyping??? The majority of Greek people I know in the U.S. have thick black hair. Perhaps in Greek mythology blond and chestnut hair was prevalent but not in this country. Yes I meant comb over and a sub shop is a sandwich shop that serves pizza and fast food.

A lot of sandwich shops in the United States are owned by Greeks. IMHO a lot of Greek men who speak recognizable Greek to me, you Malaka- are thinning very badly and seem to be a bit ahead of the average curve.

BTW there is an Asian girl with blonde hair sitting in front of me at work.

some of those guys got more hair on their arms then I do on my head.

Everytime they're fixing my sandwich I keep worrying about all their arm hair getting into my food lol.

While I know of no study on this people from the south of europe, and moving into the middle-east definitely seem to hit by male pattern baldness harder, in my opinion.

Would be interesting to look this up on the web to see if there are any studies.
