Do people usually experience this as part of male pattern baldness?

I went to a trichologist the other day and she tod me not to wash my hair that morning - when I got there she loooked at my hair and commented how greasy my scalp was getting so recommended I use a better shampoo for it.

Can the grease make male pattern baldness worse? Can washing the hair regularly (like 1-2 times per day) with a non grease shampoo slow the process down?

Thanks

My hair gets greasy and thin looking if I don't wash it every day, so I have to.

Cheers for the replies but njot really answering the questions...

Can it make male pattern baldness worse and is it a symptom of the male pattern baldness to have increased scalp grease?

Can clearing it up with good shampoo very regularly make things better....my trichologist said that although scientifically it doesn't seem to be related, there seems to be a link....Dr Rassman of balding blog says there is no link and clearing grease wont do a thing. Your opinions/thoughts?

Sorry I can't say for sure but after I thought that I'm having balding problems I also noticed how greasy my hair gets during the day. I have usually had hair of this length and as far as I can remember it hasn't been this greasy. Within last few years I've had a short 3/8 inch ( 9mm ) hair so I can just remember wrong.

Anyway I would like to hear answers to this also.
