Got prescribed Finasteride. Where to get it from?

I'm really short on money right now and I don't know where to get my medicine from. Drugstore.com is selling 30 tablets for $40 but my local Rite Aid is selling it for $71 with their discount card. Now of course I'd rather buy it for $40 but I need to skirt around the issue of being "found out" for not wanting to pay for Propecia. My doctor just said "Pay with cash at the pharmacy and it'll be all right" but I don't know how it works online.

Found out? I may not be understanding you correctly, but the pharmacy doesn't give a hoot about what you do with the pills. They are only filling them based on a doctor's prescription. How would they know you don't have prostate issues?

I got my 30 day Finasteride at Walmart for 9 dollars. I would suggest going to their pharmacy and asking how much your prescription will cost. You can even call them.

Good luck.

would i need to get prescribed finasteride by a Dr and would it be covered by a health plan? If not, how does one get it for $9 at a Wal-Mart?

To buy it from Walmart, yes you need a doctor's prescription. It is $9 without insurance.

Just called up Walmart and they quoted me 60 something dollars for one month of propecia.

How come?

edit: I see that 5mg is 9 dollars. I just want to take .5mg a day so really want to buy the 1mg.

The only way that is illegal is if you have insurance pay for it because insurance probably covers it as a prostate cancer type of thing but not for hair loss so using it off label would be a problem. If you just buy it yourself then insurance has nothing to do with it and its fine no matter what you do.

No...cmon now....its only illegal if you lie about anything. Some insurance companies couldn't give a rats *** what it is for as long as its cheap.
