Researching it says it does have an effect on hair growth. Same happened with me as I was low on Vit D. Coincidentally that's around when my hair loss was at its worst, I didn't even see gradual miniaturization, my hair just literally stopped growing.Apparently I only have 60% of the minimum amount of vitamin D required to be at optimum levels. I plan on taking a supplement to remedy this, but I was wondering do you think this would have had any effect on my hair?

I'm still skeptical though, I've been on finasteride and minoxidil and been supplementing Vit D too and my hair has been improving. Also I was very depressed at the time I lost my hair, lost a bunch of weigh, etc.
Anyways are you taking any hair loss specific meds? What does you hair look like?
Awesome that's very exciting to hear! I have also noticed more shedding recently, which based off what have I read is common with Vitamin D deficiencies. I just bought 2000IU Vitamin D3 and am hoping to see some good results in a month or two. I shall keep you all updated.I'm just gunna leave this here...

yes there's much more to it, Estrogen activates the Vitamin D receptor, which is important for anagen initiationI just got back results on my blood tests as well. I had been wanting to do it forever, I was so sure I was gonna find a thyroid issue, or DHT issues; but no instead it came back that I was deficient as well in Vitamin D. Maybe there is something more to it.
