I'm trying to get a prescription for finasteride, and today I called up the number for a hairloss specialist in my area I found on google. So this chick with a foreign accent answered the phone, and I kept trying to press the point that I'm looking to get a prescription, I was like, "does the doctor write scripts for finasteride" and she was like, "well it's not a doctor, it's a hairloss consultant and they're going to go over all your options with you," and clearly she wasn't going to answer my question, so I let her do her little spiel where she asked me about the state of my hair loss and such. Anyway, I'm supposed to meet with this consultant individual tomorrow. I have a feeling it's going to just be some dude trying to pressure me into a hair transplant from some scam-a** surgeon, but I guess we'll see. I'm supposed to bring in pictures of myself with a full head of hair and what not. I feel like I already pretty much know what my options are from this forum and the stuff I've read online, but It's a free consultation, so even if it ends up being a waste of time, it's not that big a deal.

IMO, don't do it. They're just sales-people.

If I were you, I would pay to see a Dermatologist, hairloss surgeon or at least a Trichologist that has a recognised qualification.

Yeah, you're probably right. If there's little to no chance of me getting that script I'd rather not bother.
