Hi Folks,
Long story short...been shedding for several years initially used Propecia 2 years with outstanding results but quit because of the sides. Have been using minoxidil for 3 years consistently along with spironolactone. Had decent results with minoxidil and spironolactone but thought I'd try finasteride again so I started again in January (after 3 years).
It has now been 4 months and I have been shedding more and more consistently. I am still using minoxidil and spironolactone so I don't think those have anything to do with it. My harline and crown are thinner than ever before. I have no idea why finasteride would do this to me since I did not experience this several years back when I first took finasteride alone. I REALLY doubt that it's genetics since my male pattern baldness has followed a very steady and consistent pattern over the years.
I do have days when the shedding goes down but on average it has really gone up. I am rotating between T-Gel and nizoral 2& and also using Tricomin and Emu Oil. Each time I run a damp hand over my head i am guaranteed to catch 1-5 hairs - this can't be normal! What more can I do? Should I stop or continue the finasteride? What gets to me is the confusion and resulting frustration of not knowing what the heck is happening. I am being so proactive and doing my best and ultimately just accelarating the inevitable. Please advise. I am counting on you guys.
