Give finasteride how long before considering dutasteride?

3 years on minoxidil, 9-10 months on finasteride. Great results pretty quickly with finasteride on my crown and there are no signs of hair loss there right now.

However, hairline corners continue to slowly thin out- one much more so than the other. When should i consider dutasteride? Is this a situation where dutasteride would be effective? Again, finasteride helped my crown a ton, but unless the corners kick in at a year, mine (or at least left one) is looking bleak

Give it a year. Not sure if dutasteride will be that effective in stopping your hairline going if finasteride isn't working though. Might need to add treatments with a different mode of action (topical AAs/CRTH2 inhibitors).

can anybody provide a little more info on the topical/crth2 or a link to a thread?

Anybody else on this one? Its crazy how much finasteride helped my crown/middle up top, it is fully thickened, but hairline corners are just not responding. Still using minoxidil twice a day, is there anything else I can do?

also, does anybody have any clinical and/or success stories for dutasteride on hairline?
