This was done in 2015:

This girl had a big mole growing on her head. The surgeon placed saline balloons under her scalp where her hair grew normally, and let the skin stretch out for a few weeks or months. Eventually the mole region was removed and this this extra skin was grafted into its place. Her hairline afterwards extends down the side of her face and it looks like the hair density in the grafted region is no different to the rest of her head.

What do you lot make of this?

lol you know i was thinking of this recently.
can't they place a balloon or something under the scalp, very slowly inflate it so the skin stretches; then cut off the bald part and join the hairy parts in the middle? granted you would look a fool for a few months with this balloon inflating under your scalp, but it would in effect be the perfect hair transplant.
I know they tried something similar with scalp reduction but it didn't really work, but i wonder if that is because the skin needed time to stretch naturally ?

Age effect on cellular metabolism must be taken in to account and probably the greatest factor. To her stem cells she might as well be an embryo.

Well, let's not start suckin' each other's dicks quite yet. What if estrogen plays a determinant role? We already know that hair loss can be reversed with estrogen, this "cure" may be only that in women.

Love the Pulp Fiction reference.
Also agree with the post. This ain't a cure, or even close to it.
