Hi guys, after 3 years of propecia i got sides and so i decided to quit it. I already reduced the dose to 0.5 and the sides disappeared, but i don't think it is worth risking harming my body any longer, plus i don't think my libido and frequency of erections are 100% like before.

My new regimen will be:

spironolactone cream every day
minoxidil 2 times every day
Nizoral shampoo 3 days/week

What do you guys think? Will it be enough to keep my hair? i've read some success stories and this seems to be the best combo but i wanted the opinion of more experienced/knowledgeable users.

Cheers everyone!

I think that's a very sensible regimen, you might also want to consider Tricomin or Revivogen in addition.

Another poster, Inland was similar to you, he quit Finasteride after some time due to side effects, but managed to preserve his gains through a regimen of minoxidil, spironolactone, nizoral and Tricomin.

Although obviously his male pattern baldness is not very aggressive. If you have more severe male pattern baldness than this then it is unlikely that spironolactone as a lone DHT inhibitor will be enough, perhaps you could consider Revivogen or others in addition?

I have read many success stories from users who also quit finasteride due to sides, but then managed to maintain on Revivogen.

Thanks Primo! Currently looking at tricomin and revivogen. They seems to act in a very different manner. Also i'll have to consider the price! I'll add one of the two and will update monthly on how my new regimen goes..
