No it won't look unnatural AS LONG as you do your homework and select the right Doctor with the talent to do it. :hairy:

How is the former moderator Robert doing? I have not seen him around since his second hair transplant.

Hairlines are absolutely critical in completing a hair transplant. Because of the very few physicians who took time to study hairlines, i.e. Dr. Paul Rose the forefather, and others i.e. Dr. Cooley, Dr. Baumann and Dr. Harris, hairlines have become a standard in how they are templated. Even larger hair mills such as Bosley now take the time to use single hairs as the very front and then graduate to 2's then 3's and so on.
Another aspect to natural hairline appearance is the irregularity of the actual hairline itself. The picture below shows a typical hairline that has zero symmetry and even has "sentinal" single hairs shown by the blue arrows darting outside below the hairline. The red follows the natural hairline.

Yes single hair FUs are critical in creating that soft natural aesthetic appealing hairline.
BUT DON'T FORGET ABOUT PROPER ANGULATION!!! Listen, I see guys pics all of the time who's Doctor did in fact use singles with a staggering design and placement, BUT, the angulations are off. Even a five degree flaw can be noticed by an untrained eye! :freaked2:
Following hair direction and angulation is absolutely essential or find a new Doctor or forget doing the procedure altogethor! :roll:

I noticed in your first post on this thread that you did not disclose that you work for Dr. Harris at your signature. It was probably due to the photo of the hairline design you put up. But then your signature on your last post does not have proper disclosre as to who you are either.
This can be misleading to newcomers as well as considered deceptive and unethical within the hairloss community, BUT, it was maybe an oversight on your part? I have a hard time believing you left it out intentionally. :wink:

Gillinator...Ok I will fix my signature... BTW in speaking of angulations and hairline design... Someone answer this.
A good hairline design will have:
A. No angled hairs.
B Angles between 30-45 degrees
C angles following the donor haired angles because that is how natural they are.
D. A pluggy hairline is most naturally angled from tuftyness.
