Generic Proscar Tablets

I have a serious question. I have proscar that will expire October of 2014. Roughly just under a 4 month supply of it left. I have about 6 quarter pieces (1.25 mg each) I cut back in March of 2014 sitting in a pill box. Are these quarter pieces still good or will they have gone stale by now? Throw them or eat up?

Well since no one wants to give me their input I will say that I think the split pills are still fine and ready to use.
