I'd been buying generic finasteride (proscar) from a reputable online rx for years. I'd split the 5mg pill into thirds. Out of the blue last year my hair started shedding and thinning very rapidly. I'd been holding pretty steady for over 5 years on my regimen. I narrowed it down to the finasteride and I made an appointment with my doctor and asked for a Propecia rx. He didn't hesitate to give me one. Took it to Target and it was $9 for a 90 day supply without insurance. Apparently it's one of those very cheap drugs. Hair came back pretty quickly after that (within a month).
I know it's not possible in other countries, but if in the US, please get a rx which is easy enough and go to one of the big box pharmacies and get the real deal.
