general people's thoughts on premature hair loss

here, i found this thread on straightdope called "earliest age you have seen male baldness"

i was just wondering what the earliest age possible, and what the general attitude towards it is, away from all social expectations, whether they feel sorry for thinning guys or not, whether they think they look better/worse, etc.

also most of them haven't lost their hair themselves so its nonbiased

I have seen 16 yo guys with thinning hair (male pattern baldness).
