GAS6 - Growth arrest-specific protein 6

I haven't seen any discussion on GAS6.
In Science Daily (wont let me post link yet):
"Under both normal and stress conditions, adding Gas6 was sufficient to activate hair follicle stem cells that were in the resting phase and to promote hair growth"
Recombinant Human GAS6 Protein is readily available for research and industrial use with a simple google search.
Is this worth creating a cream with and apply after needling?

I can do this but wanted to first see what the forum of senior experts have heard about this and can weigh in.
