Tricomin would be best. American Crew doesn't contain real copper peptides any longer.

Before they used the same copper peptides as in Tricomin. However, they have now been replaced with some apparently useless stuff. There is a discussion going on at Hairlosshelp discussing this.

what was the company's reason for doing that?

it had something to do with the patent, i think. Either way, AC stopped making it. You cold try tricomin, folligen, or Prox-N. They all have copper peptides in them, i dunno which is the best, but folligen is cheap.

For copper peptides either go with tricomin if you have $$$ or folligen if you are manly enough and can handle the mess it makes (like me)

Nathaniel, im thinking about getting some bc its so cheap..Does it stain you hair green, ive heard it might do that. Also, does it wash out alright? How are the results?
