(for Bryan) revivogen=good...topical-finasteride=bad?(

we all hear that revivogen has some great potential to inhibit local dht and yet so many people are skeptical about topical finasteride/dutasteride because it will mostly be absorbed into the blood stream thus loosing it's potential topical effects. I have read many posts saying that the only effect that topical finasteride could have is through it's systemic absorbtion. why do we claim that topical revivogen works pretty well topically and claim that topical finasteride/dutasteride is a waste of time/money???? (i am on the side of believing that topical revivogen helps topically) thank you

I don't know - but I'm beginning to think that Revivogen is over-hyped. I mean scientifically - it sounds like a no-brainer because it's packed w/ great ingredients. But I'm beginning to think that less users, not more, experience regrowth. It might help w/ maintenance - which can be a goal - but if you're trying to regain some of your lost hair - don't put all your hopes in Reviv. "Some" users have experienced some regrowth - so for that reason - plus the fact that it's recipe makes sense - what the hell - give it a try for 9 months.

"Several" forum posters have also cited success w/ topical finasteride. I think that Merk actually underwent some minimal studies in this area and also achieved a slight level of success. They achieved greater success w/ proscar and propecia taken orally though - which is why you don't hear about the topical studies at all.

If you're on the fence and considering topical finasteride - I'd say go for it. Using the 5 mg proscar tabs, rub off the blue external coloring, crush up 4 - 5 tabs, and dissolve same in a bottle of generic minoxidil. Use it for 6 months and report back!

PS: I'm not Bryan (and I don't even play him on TV).

i think no one can expect regrowth from revi. it's mainly topical anti-dht weapon with lesser effect than oral finasteride.

ya,...i totally agree. i'm not expecting regrowth...maintenance is all i want.... but u guys sorta missed my point.

i understood what you wrote. although many _believe_ finasteride works mainly when absorbed sistemically, _probably_ it works also a little in direct contact with scalp skin.
if finasteride works a little in direct contact with scalp skin, there is a good chance for revi to work in such a contact as well.

Well, frankly, because of Real-World experiments that actually SHOW that topical finasteride is kinda nasty about being absorbed systemically, whereas topical fatty acids seem to "stay put" very well. It's as simple as that, I guess...
