I have read in previous posts that Dr. lee stated that folligen spray might result in being counter-productive with minoxidil, rendering the minoxidil useless.. something like this: folligen--> :box: <--minoxidil

Anyone else have comments on this or have heard of this before?

If that were true, my hair would be on the floor, not in my head.

So, it seems implausable to me. Did he say WHY he thought this (other than he does not sell folligen??).

I wondered exactly the same thing, Bruce. I emailed Dr. Lee, I don't have the reply anymore. I asked what he thought about using folligen, and he went on a little about the peptides and how they work, he said they are not proven to grow hair.. he then gave me instructions on how to combine his formulas with folligen.

I think he doesn't support folligen because A. he doesn't make it. B. He makes products that competes with it. C. he may not be that interestedi n copper peptides.. However He never stated I "shouldn't" use it, just that it isnt proven to grow hair. I'd say him giving instructions on how to combine the two, would suggest he doesn't care.

He is a bit peeved because Dr. Pickhart took him to task for using corticosteroids in some of his preps. They differ on the long term impact of this practice but most derms I know would NOT use them long term for any skin application, so I am a bit on Pickhart's side on this one!

I e-mailed him about this a while back and he told me that when the copper and the minoxidil meet it produces insoluble salts that might make both products useless. Who knows. They still might work just not as good. :?

It's zinc and minoxidil that react with each other. Although I'm sure the reaction will take much longer than it would take to absorb into the scalp.

dont worry mates.. these are baseless.. Infact Folligen web site states that it can be applied.. just after 10 mins of nox application. and it is supposed to be more effective than folligen alone.
