okay, do hair follicles usually give way to multiple hairs from the same spot (say, 3-5 from each "hole"?) My follicle density seems okay, visibly, as I can see follicles all fairly tightly packed together (visible by little dots on the scalp, etc.) but the hairs they seem to be sprouting are fewer and thinner it would appear.

Examination of a non-balding head showed me that there should be 3-5 fairly solid hairs sprouting from each of these little holes, and I'm afraid in my case, that's not how it's working. Considering all my follicles appear to still be visible in good number (and still containing hairs), will I respond to minoxidil more likely?
