For the past several months, I have been applying Rogaine foam in the morning and minoxidil liquid at night. This in combination with Nizoral and Dutasteride has been doing a good job of stopping any further hair loss and thickening my hair to an extent. While the liquid makes my hair look thin and greasy, it doesn't bother me since I'm going to bed and no one is seeing my hair. On the other hand, while applying the foam in the morning is nice in giving my hair a thick look, a lot of the foam is absorbed by my hair, and once it dries, my hair becomes stiff and looks and feels extremely dry. It has the texture of dry hay. It is frustrating because before I started using the foam my hair was thin and looked like crap, but now, even though it looks thicker, it still looks like crap. Has anyone else been experiencing this drying, stiff hair problem and have you found a solution?

hey... i have noticed that for me it helps to rub a thin film of Retin-A on the area before applying liquid minoxidil... it makes the minoxidil seep into the scalp better so less of it is sitting in your hair and making it sticky... I also prefer liquid over foam for this reason as it allows to get in as close to the root as possible, leaving the top part of your hair somewhat dry and not stuck together... foam kind of goes all over like mousse
