Flakes from minoxidil

minoxidil dries my scalp a lot and leaves tons of flakes, can you tell me how i can fix this?
Ive use nizoral 2% once a week but it just dries my scalp even more.

Any advice?

Perhaps you might try a different brand if at all possible. I have to say the foam (generic label) for me did not cause this notorious minoxidil. side effect so much, but it's efficacy versus liquid minoxidil. is still a little sketchy in my present opinion. To be perfectly honest with you I experience this common problem also and couple that with my seborrhea dermatitis I throw my hands up in frustration. I hope you can find some relief, I don't know if Vit E or coconut oil for example, applied after minoxidil. application would help control this better. Looking forward to a positive follow up. all the best.
