As you can deduce by my name, I am 22 and am already a 2 soon to be a 3 on the Nor. Scale. My father went 'cue-ball bald' by 30. I plan on putting up a fight.

*I have been on Propecia for 7 1/2 months. No result. Hair looks 2x as bad as my Dec. 2005 hair. Frontal/temporal balding has become thin all over, esp on top of head. I can't even style this anymore.

*I started to use Super Zix in December 2005 as well, my hair was not bad then, I just wanted to regrow my temple region. Super Zix has only dryed out my hair and is not growing anything back, or stopping DHT and hair loss for that matter. I just stumbled across his site and thought 'what the hell, its worth a shot'.

Should I pick up minoxidil 5%? Suggest any good brands to use? My main concern in the top and frontal/temporal regions. will Rogaine even help me here?

Should I consiter dutasteride. in the next few months is Propecia leaves me with no results? I know people say to try the top 3 first and give it a year, but Propecia is leaving me wanting more, or any results for that matter. Plus, taking dutasteride. in the future may not even be an option, once I pass Nor. 5 or 6, I am throwing in the towel. These days are advancing fast.

I appoligize in advance for any typo's, I am actually very intelligent and a recent Harvard graduate. Thank you all and cheers.

Minoxidil has its pro's and con's.

For me, applying minoxidil has truly been worth it.

It's a hassle for others, but it definitely works with finasteride or dutasteride.

I really think you should complete the holy trinity: finasteride, minoxidil, and Nizoral, and stick with that for a good while.

Results take a long time to see.

Without going into detail, you are probably aware that minoxidil and finasteride work synergistically... and with Nizoral or Ketoconazole 2%, your results will likely be even better.

For me, dutasteride is the number-one choice. I've done my research, and have found it to my liking. If you have any questions about dutasteride, we have an entire forum dedicated to dutasteride as a treatment for male pattern baldness. You can also PM me anytime.

Welcome to these forums.

I hope you find the information here useful to your situation.

Goodluck

Thanks

Thank you. Any other advice about switching from finasteride. to dutasteride.

I like the prices of dutasteride. at unitedpharm --- sure beats the 70 a month I am paying for Propecia.

Anyways, I really need more feedback. Has anybody tried Ozbrew?
