looks pretty much the same to me, and no finasteride cannot make your hair worse then it would be otherwise

I truly believe finasteride did this to me as well but at the same time it could be not working for you at the front. Did you notice more hair when shampooing ? I did I shed for eight months and in that time my front got destroyed even worse than yours. I think im shedding less now but my hair is still getting rapidly worse. All the hair at the front is now thin and miniaturized when a year ago I was nw2 with no thinning except in the temples. Now im taking dutasteride and thinking of ordering RU58841 but it totally sucks I don't understand everyone on here said give it time the shed will pass.. but it never did. now hoping dutasteride can work for me

this is the exact reason I am so tempted to drop finasteride ( 4 months in and NW2 at the moment)

Isn't RU really expensive? I've heard of the stuff and was interested since I don't have to mess up my hormones. I was shedding now I'm not, I'm not sure when it stopped. When I was on finasteride, I was shedding a lot, and now I don't shed at all actually, haven't seen any hair when I shower. I'm sticking to it still, hoping that maybe another year will grow back some of the temple a bit. My hair is blonde so when I look at my hair line i see very thin blonde hairs and I'm hoping those will grow stronger and make my hairline appear thicker. What also sucks is that I'm 22, and literally the past year is when I've started to grow facial hair on my cheeks and jaw line. But it's patchy, and my whole family has thick full beards, so I'm really hoping that finasteride isn't going to mess it up. Their's nothing worse then having a full beard that's patchy, I've let it grow out and it pretty much covers my whole face, but my whole left side of my neck has little to no hair whilest my right side does, and then it's just patchy mess on the cheeks. ****ty beard, ****ty hairline, big *** forehead. SUCKS man. How many girls I've talked to this past year that knew me from high school say "wow you look so much different" and they aren't meaning it in a good way.

Im in UK so I think RU is roughly £150 for 3 month supply so that'll be like $230 dollars or something so yeah its expensive plus you need to put it in a vehicle so the costs do add up, I haven't had any side effects from finasteride or dutasteride so I don't care too much about my hormones as I think you can survive without DHT at least I feel normal sexually etc . My hair behind my front is super thick which is strange I think finasteride doesn't work for everyone at the front/temples. What sucks is my hair is dark and I have such a weak jawline that it just accentuates my male pattern baldness I mean I see men in the street with the same hair loss as me but they can pull it off, they look normal while I look like a massive forehead freaklike alien!! I cant grow a decent beard either you could try putting rogaine on your beard ive heard people say that works but im not sure. yeah im 24 and still at college trying to get a degree with mostly 20 year olds and they rib me about looking old and when its a girl that you like it hurts like hell ! ive actually started bunking off if I feel my hair looks too sh!t

You guys are missing something. His hairline is barely worse. Did you take the time to consider how bad he could have gotten over a year without finasteride? He could be a nw4 by now or quite badly diffused without it for all we know, after a whole year. finasteride is working. If it is not stopping your hairloss completely, it is atleast slowing it down by a not insignificant amount.

finasteride actually helped my hairline and has maintained my crown but never had any significant regrowth there. That being said I can't complain after nearly 10 years. Also, it took almost 2 years before I could tell that finasteride had thickened my hair up and was healthier. I guess because it took a long time to cycle out all the crappy hair.
