Finistrida doesn't work

Hi All,

i'm taking Finistrida for about 4 month now, and i hardly see any improvement (even not at all).
For 1 month in between i took a different brand from what i usually taking and i think i felt and improvement with that brand, since i noticed that much less hair was falling during last period time of this month.
My question is, can it be that two different brands, of the same supposedly product, work differently? or even on some people, 1 is working and the other isn't?

Thanks,
Yariv

What my sig says.

After 4 months on finasteride your hairloss should have stopped but if the only way you are attempting to measure that is by counting hairs you are not going to be able to tell. Take photos.

And to answer your question about brands - No, as long as both brands are legit Finasteride there should be absolutely no difference. Where are you buying your finasteride from?

Hi there,

Well, im not counting hairs (-:, since it can almost cannot be done because of the amount, but i can get some kind of measure by looking at my hand when i'm brushing my head with it and say the i didn't went to get a haircut in the last 5 months or so.
There is almost not a chance that i will have an empty hand after that.
Anyhow, im taking pictures and this is what worries me, i really don't see any improvements in the last 4 month. Even not a slight feeling of that.
I'm buying at the pharmacy. i thought to myself, that is better to buy it in the pharmacy and try the effectiveness before going online with that.

thanks

By 'not seeing improvement' do you mean your hair looks worse than it did 4 months ago (your hairloss continued)?

You won't see regrowth from finasteride in that time period if that's what you're expecting.

If your hair looks the same as it did 4 months ago finasteride is working as well as can be expected.

Maintenance = success.

If you want regrowth you have to take finasteride for 1-2 years, and even then only ~40% of people will get regrowth from using finasteride alone. Add a growth stimulant - minoxidil (rogaine) for quicker results and to maximise your chances of regrowth.

Hi hairhoper and thank you for replying.

Well, about "not seeing improvements", i meant that still, after 4 months, the hair keeps falling and with large amount of it.
I don't see that the hair roots are becoming stronger, as it should be, isn't?

Thanks for the tip about minoxidil, i'll take that in mind. I did expect the i will have some a regrowth of hair.

The bottom line, if i understand correctly, i should keep on taking finasteride, maybe mix it with minoxidil and hope for good.

Thanks again,
Yariv
