Finax arrives soon - scared for sexual health

Hi, newbie here.

I am 29 years old. I did not see this coming. I am noticeably thinning on top, so decided to bite the bullet and order some Finasteride 1mg.

Of course I am worried about the sexual side effects. If they are temporary, I could always, last-resort to an ink hair tattoo, but its the guys who are permanently damaged that scare me.

Has this happened to anyone here?

My hair loss on the crown is noticeable (temples are fine IMO) - is it ever too late? There are still hairs on top, but they are sparse. I mean, by the time this Finax kicks in, will it be too late for regrowth? What can I really expect?

This weekend, I will post a pic.

I am on Saw Palmetto 320mg and have been for 2-3 months. I don't think it has helped.

You won't know how you tolerate the drug until you try it. Chances are, you will not have any issues on it. There is a small chance you will get sexual side effects, and a much, much smaller chance that they won't go away after discontinuing the medication. Realize you are taking a risk for the benefit of regrowing your hair, and don't start on the drug until you have completely accepted that risk.

Keep in mind that refusing to treat your hair loss and letting it continue on it's course can cause problems as well. Hair loss is well known to cause self esteem issues, which can lead to depression, anxiety, and also sexual issues.

When I started I had noticable thinning on the crown, in a NW3V pattern. About 16 months on finasteride has almost completely reversed this, and my hair is now as thick as it was 5 years ago.
