FINASTERIDE vs HAVING A CHILD : side effects?

Hello guys,

I'm writing this for 1 reasons 1) I'm happy with the current evolution of my hair, I've been using BIG3 for 3 months now, I will upload
pictures in 3 months so as to illustrate a 6-months evolution.

2) Side effects: nothing important, I've suffered from a "brain frog" one or 2 times, but no prob.
My cerebral activity is even stronger than before thanks to the psychological effect of knowing I'm doing
the best to cure my baldness

3) --> I was wondering.. wtf can we have a CHILD while being treated on FINASTERIDE?


I'm freaking out: I want to have a baby in 4-5 years but Jesus.. I don't want a damn handicapted boy or cerebrally affected child


So , do you know stories of Fina-guys who have given birth to a NORMAL baby?

yes it does not effect the quality of the sperm. It may effect sperm counts and make it harder to have a child but provided your sperm counts were normal before it should still be pretty easy to conceive naturally

AFAIK there has never been any recorded case of a baby being born with defects because the father was taking Finasteride when it was concieved.

It's mainly a disclaimer used by the manufacturers to avoid getting sued (they cover all bases - a bit like the 'may contain peanuts' you see on almost all food these days)

nonetheless, with something as important as this, you should consult a qualified medical professional for advice, and perhaps stop taking finasteride when you plan to conceive a baby just in case, and to ease your own mind.

it is important that a pregnant woman doesn't come into physical contact with finasteride though.

It is safe to conceive while on finasteride.. I have been on finasteride for 8 years, just last year I had a baby boy and everything went perfectly.
