hi guys,
after a year of research and staying away from finasteride, I decided to finally take the blue pill.
First of all I went to my doctor and told him I want to be prescribed finasteride, he told me he would be happy to prescribe me them after I took a blood test and ruled out other things that could possibly be causing thinning hair and male pattern baldness such as thyroid problems.
blood test came back normal and healthy...
Anyway, he told me it's not worth it due to the side effects for and that its not even meant for hair loss, but said he would prescribe it if I still wanted it.
I told him I don't care and am willing to take that risk, to which he said fair enough.
Not gonna lie, I was scared after taking my first pill, had like ed for the first 2 days and it subsided thereafter
, I am now on it for nearly 2 months and 0 side effects

things I noticed:
not a single hair fell out after 1 day on finasteride. (prior to that I'd easily have 30-150 hairs fall out by even running my fingers through my hair!!)
happy mood!!! taking finasteride made me feel happy (this is probably a placebo effect as I'm finally combating hairloss with full force) still elevated my mood and gave me motivation
so for me it pretty much worked instantly.
Anyway into the start of the second month of finasteride I started shedding 5-30 hairs a day.
what I noticed about these hairs were that, they were thin and short, some were really short like 1cm. It's the new hairs the were regrowing on my hairline that are falling out.
hope this helps others who are yet to take the big step. let me tell you, finasteride is brilliant as long as you start early!
