Finasteride sides just disappeared?

The sides I had on finasteride for the past few months have disappeared, i.e my EQ and libido came back, and most noticably, my body hair has thickened up. On top of all of this, my hair seems to be in the early stages of another shed (2-3 hairs every time I run my fingers through it). I am wondering if finasteride had stopped blocking dht somehow, or if my finasteride (1mg Finpecia from alldaychemist) has somehow gone bad. Exp date says 2 weeks ago but I read that finasteride lasts 2 years after the exp date.

Perhaps the sides could have disappeared because of my supplementation with 250mg of Alphs Lipoic Acid.

What do you guys think? Have you experienced this?

For how long are you using finasteride now and for how how long did you experience those sides?

I started finasteride in late June and didn't experience sides or shedding until mid september. So I had sides for about 3 months, and they've been slowly going away for the past month, until now, they're like 85 percent gone. I'm worried that the finasteride isn't working because it would be horribke timing to experience a second shed when sides dimish, but I am unsure.

I haven't stopped using it though. I guess it's just a coincidence I'm starting another shed after the sides went away.

When I get side effects from finasteride, I stop using it for a day or two.

This is my saving grace, as soon as i start feeling a little "off" i just take a 1 or 2 day break and im allll goooodd.

To op, stick with it, your body could just be adjusting to your new levels of dht. Personally i think shedding is dangerous when it involves the common male pattern baldness itch. Although as soon as i start taking finasteride consecutively my hair falls out alot less.

I could get an erection but it was a bit weaker. My worry is that since my sides have disappeared that the finasteride has stopped working or something, and I'm shedding at the moment, so I don't know if I'm going through a second shed or if I'm shedding because the finasteride the stopped working.

Although, I'm shedding hairs from areas that male pattern baldness doesn't touch, at least in my family, so it makes me wonder what is going on.

I believe that my current "shed" is from vitamin a toxicity. I've stupidly been taking 25-30,000 iu daily, and I think I reacted poorly to it. If this is the case, does this hair grow back?
