finasteride - side effects?

Hi guys.
2 weeks ago i decided to start my treatment with Finasteride. I cut my pill ( 5 mg ) into 4 pieces, so I take a dose of 1,25 per day. Recently ( a few days ago ) I noticed a decrease in sex drive and some problems with erection. Is it possible that it was caused by finasteride? I have also had a hard last week and now I've got a cold, but now I started asking myself if it was a good idea to start taking finasteride

any ideas/suggestions what to do? take finasteride despite this and wait some time to see what will happen ( some people says that side effects can gone after some time )

Get off finasteride

Try getting the 1mg pills and cutting them in half. Easing in at .5mg has worked for several guys that started out at 1.25 or 1mg and had some initial sides.

van_slasher, I'm sorry that 2 of the 3 people that responded are crazies. Rawtashk's suggestion sounds reasonable.
