been on finasteride for 2 weeks nothing yet other than i think i may be shedding a slight bit more but the shedded hairs are thin and make no difference to my appearance, just wondering is a shed common with finasteride bearing in mind that i have been on rogaine for 6 months with great regrowth what are the chances that i will shed again on finasteride ?

I been on finasteride about 2 months and i am receding fairly quickly and i dunno whether its a good shed or scalp poison what but its darn scary to think you are putting faith in something clearly hurting you hoping that at some point in the next 3 months it will turn around and make things better.
Shedding on finasteride is meant to be normal, but who knows what normal finasteride shedding is?

Hey both any update on your situation? I've been on it a full month and I really feel like it's hurting my overall hair, in 1 month I see more recession and more thinning and in new places like my hairline, before it was only my temples and crowns effect, now my hairline too
I don't want this to carry on for another month as I don't know at this rate would I would look like
But everyone says ride it out for 3 months

Since being one month on finastride my itchiness has gone down
But condition of hair in 1 month has visually worsened

so you took it just for 2 weeks then backed off?
I've been on it for 1 month and my hair is visually thinning from the front and it's never done that before. for 2 years before this I have just been using minoxidil

I was told to start using it by a hair specialist doctor as I showed him my progress with minoxidil for 2 years and there is improvement but over a period of 2 years very little.
My templates and crown was not filling up over the 2 years of minoxidil as I desired
So I was told, let's see what finastride does as it's the only other proven method without surgical treatment. So that's my reason as as last hope to fix this and get thicker regrowth.
I take 1mg tablet a day for 1 month of finastride alongside minoxidil as always.
