finasteride Results: Crown Doing Well, Hairline Issue

Hey there, I've been on finasteride for over 5 months now. I have been seeing fantastic results with my crown, as may be apparent in the following pictures:

I know the lighting is different. But it's still fairly apparent that there's been considerable growth there.

But I'm concerned about the hairline and my hair's overall texture. This may be really strange, but in the first month of finasteride, I experienced an amazing change in texture. You may be able to notice in the following pictures taken roughly a month into finasteride that my hair looked really "alive":

Lots of volume. Felt very nice.

But since roughly 2 months into finasteride to now, my hair texture and volume have been less impressive:

Granted, my hair is shorter in the October 2016 photo, but you can probably tell there's noticeably less volume. It just doesn't look or feel the same. The good news is I have not seen substantial amounts of hair coming out since I began finasteride, so I don't think the finasteride isn't working or anything. My crown still looks as good as it's been. But 1. I see no gains in hairline (is that weird if I've seen gains in crown? Can finasteride even help with hairline, or does it just "maintain" what you have?), and 2. The texture and volume is gone. What's up with that? Anyone else have a similar problem?

Perhaps I'm using too much or the wrong shampoo/conditioner. I started using Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner as soon as I got on finasteride, and I attributed that to the great volume and texture. But I'm still using it and it's no longer being seemingly as effective.

I know this was a long post, but I would LOVE some feedback. Thanks!

Looks good to me. Dude I've had "good" months, then a "thinning" worry, then "It's looking good again".
I've looked through a lot of pics here, and you look like you are responding well.

Thanks so much for your comments. I guess maybe I'm too worried about the little things. I'm glad I'm just keeping the hairline where it is and getting my crown back, so I'm happy with that. And if more comes, the better. Wish you well, friend.

Finasteride may work on hairline, but need some heavy starter with it. Besides, finasteride also did nothing for my hairline. - Hairs keep falling off on hairline so i guess i need to put something more here.

Anyway as KO21 said. Your Crown looks good atm.
