Just a random.thought that came to mind today... You think someone taking 3 month intervals of taking finasteride and then 3 months of not taking it and so on... Would be more likely to maintain they're hair while letting their body recover in the meantime?

No, if you had any gains during your 3 months of use, they would be gone during the 3 months off. Some don't recover what they lose when stopping finasteride. If you want to go easy on the finasteride, then just try a small dose a few times a week and see what that does for you. I recently read of somebody getting results taking finasteride once a week. Not my recommendation, but just putting it out there.
