ive been taking generic propecia 1.25 mg daily for about 6 months and my hair is thinner then when i started. ive been observing this hair of mine, too have discovered it turned into a miniaturized hair over the past week. i know this due to the hair getting tapered at the end and getting thinner. So my question is should i drop finasteride or keep taking it?

yes, what difference does that make?
Sometimes finasteride can cause shock loss in the form of Telogen Effluvium. Since it would be considered a persistent trigger, your hair would be cycling through and you'd be losing short tapered hairs all over. If you were treating only the frontal hairline, then it wouldn't normally make sense for you to lose miniatirized hairs in the back. I remember seeing that your original post was about your hairline, so there's a viable chance that you are experiencing shock loss/telogen effluvium.
