I've been on finasteride and Nizoral for about a year now. I added minoxidil about 6 months ago, and I think it's all helped a bit. I occasionally use Folligen, but it makes my scalp lightly burn/itch.

I've been noticing my hair getting a bit thinner lately and thought I'd try to add something new. I'm a diffuse thinner btw.
I've been sifting through the mountains of info here, and I was trying to decide between adding Tricomin, Revivoge, or spironolactone? Would it be overkill to add two or maybe all of them??

In your post you say you have been on finasteride for a little over a year, but your sig says you started in March 2004. March 2005 would have been the 1 year mark. It seems like you are approaching the 2year mark? Is that correct?

Sometimes our mind plays tricks on us because we stare at our hair/scalp so much. You sure you have thinned more on top since starting? Because if you have been on finasteride since March 2004 you should have gone through the Telogen Effluvium-shed + regrowth from finasteride and your hair should look the same from when you started if not better by now. It sounds as though your Diffuse male pattern baldness has been progressing (hairs have been getting thinner during each regrowth).

My suggestion is, if you are already using Folligen, add topical spironolactone. It would be overkill to add Tricomin + Folligen. If you don't like to use Folligen cause it burns, I would suggest Tricomin as a replacement or American Crew Revitalize spray. Either one is very good, and IMO, better than Folligen.

1) Stay on finasteride, Nizoral and minoxidil.

2) If you stay with Folligen, you need to be using it more consistently. If not, grab some Tricomin and use that consistently.

3) Add spironolactone.

4) I would add Revivogen if you have all the rest set, and you are okay money wise. Revivogen, spironolactone, and finasteride combined should pretty much own DHT and the androgen receptors like it's nobody's business. But again, If I had to chose one or the other I would take spironolactone.

Oh also, I want to add, that if you decide to use all that (Rev, spironolactone, and Tricomin) they all have an alcohol content so make sure you use Dr. Lee's 5% spironolactone with no alcohol.

If you don't and you use the 2% with alcohol, you are probably setting yourself up for some serious irritation.

Thanks everyone, I'll try some spironolactone on my next minoxidil order from Dr. Lee's. Btw, my mind is playing tricks on me, I didn't realize that I started almost 2 years ago wow.

I wouldnt go for spironolactone. As you are already "sorting" your DHT problem with Propecia, maybe it would be better to add another form of treatment in the form of copper peptides. These are found in Folligen, Tricomin and AC Revitalise and are clinically proven to help hairloss. Just an idea....

Thanks, but I'm already using Folligen.
