I used finasteride just 25 day. I dont take last four days. This drug made very very much oily my face. Just like chips. And i used to lose 50, 100 hairs a day. Now 400+ hair per day. This is bs. Every time i drive my hand, there's always 6 7 hairs. Is it temporary?

Shedding should be temporary. Oily face is a side effect or so my GP told me. I've been on finasteride for about 16months and my face is still super oily. Invest in a good cleanser, toner and blotting papers.

I'm totally losing my thick and long hair. Can they come back? and when does this end? it certainly made propecia. :(

If it's a shed then yeah, they'll come back. Most people experience the shed for 3-4 months

I recommend crying a lot bc that will help against the oily skin. The salt of your tears will dry your skin pretty well plus it will have an antibacterial effect as well.

So just continue crying about your hairloss and all your problems will be solved. Best of luck!

That’s one reason why I would never take finasteride... I think it could be because it can make testosterone levels higher? I’m not entirely sure.

I’m currently experiencing the shed from spironolactone, I’m hoping it ends... I don’t have much hair left to shed on the top, but the sides shed a lot...

You got any pics of your hair? Pretty sure I've read before that you said you're a NW1/1.5, right?

I am, but I have quite bad diffuse thinning... Mainly on the left side of my head (the right side of my head is fine, I don’t know why that is lmao)

You ever thought about using minoxidil?

I would never use topical minoxidil... I highly doubt its effectiveness, as I have rarely seen anyone who has had results from it by itself (and I would forget to use a topical).

However, I am considering oral minoxidil at 0.625MG...

Not sure if topical min has done anything to my hairline. I'll post pics to compare in a couple of months.

How would you get oral min in the UK?

To get oral minoxidil on prescription in the UK is quite a task... You would have to get referred to visit a hair specialist (I had to wait five freaking months on the waiting list, and that appointment was sent as urgent. I have my appointment tomorrow, after getting referred in November).

The first thing I will tell him is that I will NOT use topical minoxidil. It makes me so irritated when doctors recommend that, yet they don't mention that the amount of people who experience regrowth (which is approximately only 15% of users) and they most likely just sprouted five hairs...

I can imagine it's a ball ache to get it in the UK.

Yeah, topical min is kinda sh*t... especially regarding hairline regrowth. I'm just using it to try it out tbh

It's difficult to get most hair loss medications on prescription... For me to go on Androcur, I have to get permission from an endocrinologist... I'm not sure why, since it stops testosterone production completely...

when you block dht, sometimes body may produce more T which is more oil on face. I did read many reviews of clinics like "this doctor is worst, he gave me fincepia tablet, now i'm shredding more hair", doctors say its temporary, but they dont answer whether all shredded hairs come back. BTW, shredding hairs are minute miniaturized hairs or normal terminal hairs??
