My crown is pretty yanked tbh and I’m diffuse thinning as well. I can still cover it with toppik. I’ve been on finasteride for 3 months (I might’ve mentioned that already) and nothing.
NW2 for certain.
This really makes me think stress will cause you to drop hairs like crazy. No one in my family is bald except 1/4 uncles and he went bald around 40. 6 months ago I went through an event that turned me into an ocd depressed douche. 3 months later I noticed my thinning, now I’m here. I’m convinced if that sh*t didn’t happen I wouldn’t have diffused so badly considering I’m only a nw2. Btw I’m not saying this is telogen effluvium

Your hair does not look that bad pal. And it gets worse before it’s get better. I had the best results after 2 years and it was really bad when I started, much worse than you.

Just go check your DHT levels in the lab to be sure finasteride is working for you if that’s possible. If it is, wait 1 year and pop that pill. If finasteride maintains, add minoxidil and dermaroller and you’ll be full head for the rest of your life.

Well finasteride takes over a year to show its full effects, so all you can do is wait. I'm also a diffuse thinner and I'm just hopeful that finasteride will help me maintain what I have. Stay positive and remember that you're using the most effective anti-hair loss drug on the market. Aggressive hair loss doesn't always mean you will be a bad responder to finasteride. May your hair always be thick, friend.

I don’t see a nw6 pattern just some mild crown thinning! You’re over reacting!!!

If you don’t have regrowth by month 12 then add rogaine and dermarolling and I’ll guarantee you’ll get some growth!

It really isn't that bad. Looks like you just have fine, straight hair that gets greasy fast and clumps together.
That was after a shower untouched. But thanks man. In my opinion it’s pretty far gone but maybe I should take your guys’ word for it.

It still looks pretty decent man considering it is worse case scenario ( wet and under light). Also you are on finasteride for 2 months now right? Im basically on month 3 right now (saturday will be exactly 90 days) and I have a feeling my sheds are slowing down a bit. It's still a lot of hair that is falling but now I am noticing like half the amount of hairs falling in the showers as I was before (even compared to when I first buzzed it).

3 months. I think my shedding has slowed down too. Let’s hope the best for us two. You’re an actual homie with real aggressive loss like me.

At a bar with toppik none of these normies got a clue mwaha

Ok here’s a wet crown pic taken under about the same conditions as another one taken two months ago (hair is a bit shorter in the new one). First one is two months ago second one was today. Ugh

Your hair kinda looks like mine ( I’m also a diffuse thinner in nw6 pattern)

It’s hard to say but I feel like it has been maintaining. I’ve been on finasteride for a year and a half. No regrowth but it’s not noticeablely worse in this time. Although I worry about it constantly still. I might switch to dutasteride if it gets worse.

I remember talking to you about this a while ago. Did your hair get worse in the first few months and come back? Mine has dropped considerably below baseline

Mine has stayed the same so no I didn’t get an initial shed. However you could just be having a shed which is often followed by regrowth. So you should for sure stay on finasteride at least for now , give it 8 months at least. I would have loved to get regrowth on finasteride, but if I could maintain forever I’d be happy . I’m just hoping finasteride can buy me enough time.
