Finasteride dosages

From reading past posts on dosages (this was on HLH) I decided to reduce my dosage of finasteride from 1.25 per day to 1.25 on Mon, Wed, Fri & Sun. I figure this will help me hopefully avoid any sides while decreasing the likelyhood of any tolerance developing.

Does this sound like it should work just as well as 1.25 on a daily basis? So far I've been on finasteride for three months. I went from loosing lots of hairs on a daily basis to not loosing a noticable amount. I haven't noticed any hairloss changes since changing my dosages so I'm hoping all should be well.

Thanks for the advice fellow posters :)

You wouldn't notice a change for 2-3 months, but many have had luck cutting down the dosage like that. You could also do .625 ED. Personally I would stick to what you were doing to begin with if you had success and no sides then there is no need to fix what is not broken. Less finasteride means more DHT now whether or not that more DHT is going to make things noticeably worse cannot really be predicted. If you want to change dosage why not try skipping every 5th day for a few months first and then take it from there. Also I don't think it is really a tolerance that develops but it is the DHT that is still there is still affecting the hair but the effect is slowed down considerably.. There are no definative studies that I am aware of that explain whether or not the effects fade in everyone or just some and why.
