Finasteride - Dark Circles Under Eyes??

Hi everyone,

I started taking 1mg Finasteride daily around 2 months ago. Today, a friend of mine commented that I had darker bags under my eyes (I've never had them before). In hindsight, this symptom seems to have started round about the same time i started taking the drug. This is my ONLY side-effect (if it is related) and my libido etc has been left untouched.

I'm just wondering whether there is any correlation between the two? I used to smoke and only quit around 2 weeks ago, so maybe it's due to that??

FYI I'm turning 25 in a month.

Has anyone had a similar experience? or any scientists know any causal effect between facial changes and finasteride??

I'm wondering whether to quit and just accept baldness?

Finasteride may cause some fat redistribution on your body since it eliminates some DHT and dht is known to balance out the estrogen hormone in male body. It can give you a fatty face but dark eyes condition is very likely to be related with your smoking It is a temporary condition I believe. Congrats that you quit smoking.
