Finasteride 20 Months In - No Progress

Hi All,
I'm 25 years old.
I've been on Finasteride (1 mg) for 20 months now, i was take twice a day Minoxidil 5% for 2.5 years
(at first i start with minoxidil and afterwards i begin to take Finasteride)
and the last half year i stopped with the minoxidil , when i put it in my hair it was itching and make my hair look thinner cause it wet.( i even tried foam and it doesn't help)
The top of my head keeps on thining, i don't know if its because i stopped with minoxidil or no.
My dermatologist told me before a half year to stop with minoxidil in progressively cause its
not necessary when i took with it Finasteride.
anybody else had no results with finasteride, but had joy with Dutasteride or minoxidil?
i want to start with dutasteride but i'm afraid it make my hair thinner thinner until it will help...(if it will help me)
what about minoxidil, maybe i will take put it again?
how much time it take to Finastride influence??
i have a new girlfriend and i'm afraid day by day that the hair without Topik expose to her.
please help me

This is perfect reasoning as to why no one should trust a derm or doctor (other than a reputable hair transplant doctor) to hairloss. Minoxidil and finasteride work through entirely different mechanisms and have synergy through being used in tandem.

Add back the minoxidil and also add nizoral 2% shampoo twice a week.

Well I gotta say one thing first, like the person above said, do not go to a physician or general dermatologist for male pattern baldness related problems, go to a dermatologist who's a hair loss specialist. One that focuses on male pattern baldness, AA, etc. The worst advice you've ever gotten was from that dermatologist who may or may not have taken any classes on male pattern baldness, and, there's members on this forum who know more than him/her about MBP. No one here would tell you to drop minoxidil because "finasteride is enough", they'll instead tell you to add something, like nizoral shampoo, not take away.

i forget to say, i'm using in Revita shampoo 3-4 times a week (its contain ketoncozole 1% or 2% i don't remember)
add to my regimen Nizoral too ?!

about Minoxidil , i told you that it was very itching for me, and my hair looks bad when i put it in morning and go to college
, (its look wet and thinner , awful!) any advice for it?

Maybe its enough if i will put 1 ml of minoxidil once time a day before a sleep?

about the picture- i didn't take any progress ...
but i know for sure when i look at miror last week on my top hair near the crown it was never looks bad like that!

Try lipogaine, it dries faster and I think it doesn't have PPG, which makes your head itch. I used lipogaine and kirkland's, lipogaine didn't make my head itch. It's more expensive though, I think $25 a bottle, while kirkland's is $27 for 6 bottles. Kirkland's makes my head itch but I manned up and take my itch, I just wash my head everyday.

Bro, finasteride isn't even for hairloss. Increased hair growth on the scalp is a f*****g side effect. Everyone who is taking finasteride is hoping for a SIDE EFFECT of the drug to happen. It's hilarious.
