I have light(er) brown hair and so after a few washes, the system loses its pigmentation and turns copper. My stylist was blaming UV but I'm almost always out of the sun and always wear a hat outdoors. It goes copper uniformly so I'm quite certain it's my water. My city has relatively high chlorine levels, according to their published analysis.
I live in an apartment at the moment, so I can't get a fancy filtering system.
Does anyone have any luck with shower head filters (please link!) -- or am I stuck with washing my hair with a bucket of water from my water cooler?
Cheers.
