Anyone here have any luck filling in or thickening the crown with anything other than minoxidil or finasteride?

go with the hair transplant, leave the human fertilizers alone (even though i'm taking .25mg of propecia right now, had 3rd hair transplant last week and trying to stop some shed/speed up regrowth, but so far, i'm a sheddin' fool.) Minoxidil is silly.

I think it was like 2 summers ago after being on zix for awhile that my crown filled in (went from a 5 to a 4). Then I started screwin' around w/ my regimen and things reversed themselves. Still back at the Norwood 5A mark.

interesting...what kind of zix, was it super, regular, mino muck?

I'm pretty certain it was straight zix - the super variety was just then being introduced (I think).

I got a bit cocky thinking I'd finally turned things around and went on a "regimen-lite" kind of thing. Several months later I (well, my hair) really started to suffer.

I'm on minomuck now (month 4 maybe?).

Love the minomuck.

Cosmetically very acceptable (mix it w/ Dr. Lee's 5%), and the price is right :)

My hair's looking nice and full - no noticeable increase in loss - but no significant regrowth to report.

Yeah, can't beat the price and it actually makes hair "appear" thicker when applied. I love the stuff so far. I mix it with 5% generic from BJ's Wholesale Club.

I don't think the muck is widely advertised. You'd have to be at Regrowth, Hairloss Help and here to even know about it.

I am a Joe Zix fan. He's a great guy, very concerned about individuals and always willing to spend time w/ people, and, his products all seem to make good sense at a reasonable price. Let's hope he never goes commercial :)

In addition to adding his minomuck to my minoxidil - I started on his SuperZix II about a month ago (basically minomuck added to SuperZix. No comments on that yet.

I've been on hair muck for about 4 months now and have seen no gains. My hairloss has got significantly worse since this time last year, but I have no idea if thats linked to this product. I have added Azelic acid, I'm not sure if this could be the problem. Is it to harsh for the scalp?

Yes mate, I split my finasteride into 4.

My GP changed my medication from 5mg Proscar (blue) to 5mg finasteride (white).
