Bull**** and furk the fda they did this because regaine was losing money Merck probably slid crap down their ears. Those pesky fda wankers are controlled, shutting of these good business who actually provide better treatments than crappy regaine. Like wise 5% can cause the same side effects why not just bloody ban all minoxidol idiots Fda are idiots.

Merck has nothing to do with minoxidil or Rogaine which was put out by Pfizer, and since there are dozens of generic/store brands available this argument makes no sense.

Maybe the FDA is trying to protect people from products that were slapped together in someone's basement and sold on the internet or manufactured in a completely unregulated fashion which is what most of these niche 15% products seem to be (with some exceptions of course). There's no proof that 15% works any better than 5% anyway.
