Faux lasercomb

Hi all,
I remember reading a post a while back where some guy said that he just bought a cheap laser from walmart that was the same wavelength as the lasercomb and all he did was shine it on his scalp 3x a week to get the same effect. I can't find the post though, can anyone help me out? Or is the only good option to buy one of those fake lasercombs of ebay?

Thanks,
Luke

Im curious how he determined that he got "the same effect". Was he using an electron microscope to compare hair diameters in a given area over a 12 month period of time on a series of people using the real lasercomb? If not ... Id take his assessment with a grain of salt.

I bought a environmently friendly, Peta member girlfriend of mine a faux fur/leather pair of gloves for Christmas one year and the girl nearly blew a damn gasket when she first saw them, thinking they were real.

Needless to say things didn't work out in the long run. Just thought I would share.

No, he meant that the effect of the laser was the same - he had no comment on actual regrowth, I don't think he had been using it very long. I think what he was saying is that you can get the same laser effect from just buying a laser with the same wavelength of the lasercomb and shining it on your head vs. paying $650 for a lasercomb.
