I read somewhere that many men who experience male pattern baldness will never see any kind of positive results no matter what products they take simply because they truly don't BELIEVE that they will ever work. So I wonder to what degree the mind plays a role in male pattern baldness. Will a person with a positive attitude about maintaining/regrowing their hair see better results than someone who is convinced that they will never see any results no matter what? Is there anyone who deep down inside thinks it's their destiny to be bald ?

Like with bumble bees right? Their body mass is too much for those flimsy little wings to provide lift off - but they manage to do it anyways, because 'they believe they can fly'.

I think those with positive attitudes have less stress, and are less likely to skip days/weeks of their regimen and not jump onto 'a new thing' every few months.

interesting theory. the mind is a very powerful thing and positive thinking can make a difference in many aspects of a person's life.

however male pattern baldness is due to genetics and im not sure if positive thought is enough to overcome this. it is true that some people do not respond to any treatments. maybe the genetic male pattern baldness is simply too agressive for any product to overcome it. i think the key is that they are only treatments and not cures for baldness.

i dont think anyone really wants to go bald, but some people are better at dealing with it. everyone that starts treatment most likely believes or hopes that they can grow back some hair. but during the course of treament it can be difficult to stay positive, especially for younger guys. so although attitude may help someone be patient and consistant with their treatment, i dont think that is the reason why they would or would not see results.
