So, I have been on finasteride for going on about a year, my hair seems to have not changed for better or worse....I currently apply minoxidil to my hairline only, and I don't know if I want to start applying it to my crown yet, as the hairline applications are a hassle in themselves, plus I would wind up speding more money on my regimen due to the increased minoxidil applications.....
Dr. Bernstein told me during a consultation that you shouldn't evaluate efficacy of propecia/finasteride until 1 year has elapsed; however, in some places, I have read that it can take up to 2 years to see results....My question is what are your personal experiences? Should I just fold and start using minoxidil on my crown as well....I don't like how it looks back there, everyone pretty much denies it looks bad, but when I take overhead views, it looks like sh*t to me. Dr. Feller pretty much said that Minoxidil sucked in most cases (of course this isn't how he put it), he elucidated that the hairs usually grown from it aren't cosmetically viable....I just don't know if minoxidil to the crown is worth it...
Really need help on this so any feedback would be appreciated....my hairline changed a year ago when I was 26, now I'm 27...and it still looks okay, I guess a high norwood 1....My crown irks me though...
Also, for those that use L'oreal thickening shampoo, what is that crap supposed to do....I mean it says it gives a thickened look to thinning hairs, is this simply a cosmetic effect?
Thanks in advance for replies, I really need advice.......
