Environmental causes for thinning hair?

I work for a small company, we're essentially a reseller. We have a warehouse with lots of dust, and lots of old software and items. I tell you that, so I can tell you this:

I've only been working there about three months, but I can't help but notice that every single other employee has thinning hair. Men and women alike, I can see scalp on almost every other person who works with me. I've got naturally thick hair, which I'd like to keep, so if anyone knows: are there environmental effects we're being exposed to that is causing everyone's hair to thin? Or did I just stumble into a company whose HR department has a bias towards baldilocks?

Well, there are some that believe that a lack of Vitamin D is one of the reasons that people begin to lose their hair. Since you are working in a warehouse, maybe the employees there have no exposure to sunlight (which is a great source of Vitamin D) and that is contributing to their hair loss.
