Hi guys (and gals),

I am now interested in trying Emu oil for my scalp. I "digged" to see old threads about it but could only find very old and very few. Has anyone here tried it who can share how this stuff feels and works??

I purchased a formulation for the hair based on emu oil from http://www.folligen.com. It's not cheap but consists of good stuff such as CoQ19, vitamin E and even DHEA. Sounds good.

Waiting for your opinion/experience.

Thanks,
Eliaz

HI
Only purchase real Australian Golden Emu Oil. I get mine from health food shops, though Holland & Barratt doesn't stock it. The Pioneer Trading Company is one reputable supplier, based in Norfolk England.
A spirit is made from the back fat of the Emu, so it isn't something for strict vegetarians, the spirit is mixed with one or another kind of essential oil. The Emu must eat its natural diet, so non Australian Emu's would not produce the essential ingredients. I think the Emu Oil helps with side effects from minoxidil. I use saw palmetto, minoxidil with retin A cream and emu. Also proscar, laser comb and various herbal treatments. My hair is growing back quite well. Which treatment is most effective I cannot really say, it must be the effect of all of them together, plus self-belief.
Good luck
